Pros: Super comfortable; light and breathable
Cons: Price
So the only con that I could think of was the initial disbelief that I was shelling out $35 for a tee shirt with the sole intent of getting it dirty and sweaty!
But after donning the shirt and putting it through it's paces (not only with hiking and backpacking, but also mountain biking and kayaking as well) I found the shirt to be worth every penny.
I ended up buying a few more to help cycle through the frequent uses that they were getting. The flatlock seams are a great feature which keeps rashes from forming underneath backpack straps on the shoulders and sides.
The lightweight and breathable wicking material keeps you comfortable and cool even with a sweaty back from a daypack, camelback or heavy backpack.
Once you get to your destination, be it the peak, camp or even back at the trailhead, the sweat dries up fast and makes you wonder how you ever managed with cotton shirts.
Another Bonus:
I've found that the material is so light and easy to clean that I've been washing them in the shower with a good amount of soap and a good wringing and by the next morning, its completely dried out and ready to go again.
This is a handy feature for longer backpacking and camping trips. Pack fewer shirts, and just wash 'em.
Cold Weather Tip:
In the winter, I've found that while one shirt may be a bit too breathable and allow too much heat to dissipate (at least on mountain bike rides), simply adding another wicked shirt on top of the first does the trick.
